Linking Global Cuisines, Collaborating for a Shared Future—Wuhan CCPIT Delegation Concludes Successfully at SIAL Guangzhou

On September 25, 2024, the SIAL Guangzhou Food Exhibition grandly opened in Area B of the China Import and Export Fair Complex. Spanning 60,000 square meters, the exhibition featured five specialized zones: the "Import Food Hall," "Brand Food Hall," "Comprehensive Food Hall," "Premium Fruits and Vegetables Hall," and "Fishery and Aquatic Products Hall." The event attracted nearly 20 national delegations and over 20 domestic city delegations, with around 2,000 global brand exhibitors and tens of thousands of international and domestic buyers and guests in attendance. The Wuhan Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) organized a delegation of over 10 Wuhan-based enterprises to participate in the exhibition. Concurrently, the "2024 Wuhan Modern Agriculture and Food Industry Chain Investment Promotion Conference" was held during the event.  

Leveraging the exhibition as a platform and food as a bridge, Wuhan CCPIT brought together renowned local enterprises such as Tiandi Mineral Water Co., Ltd., Wuhan Fangshi Food & Beverage Co., Ltd., Hubei Zhouheiya Management Co., Ltd., Wuhan Jinhuiqun Food & Beverage Co., Ltd., Wuhan Xinpeiyuan Green Food Co., Ltd., and Hubei Jili Food Technology Co., Ltd. The Wuhan delegation’s booths buzzed with activity throughout the three-day event, attracting over 30,000 professional buyers and industry experts. More than 50 cooperation intentions were reached, covering procurement and partnership opportunities.  

Luo Jien, Deputy Director of the Wuhan Modern Agricultural Product Processing Park Construction Command Office and General Manager of Wuhan Mulan Agricultural Investment and Development Co., Ltd., expressed enthusiasm: "Participating in SIAL Guangzhou for the first time offered us a global perspective and transformative ideas. We not only connected efficiently with leading domestic and international industry players but also secured multiple investment intentions for Wuhan’s modern agricultural park. We thank Wuhan CCPIT for this opportunity and plan to bring even more enterprises next year."  

A representative from Wuhan Fangshi Food & Beverage Co., Ltd. shared that product inquiries far exceeded expectations, with samples running out within three hours and 30 companies expressing procurement interest. Having participated in previous Wuhan CCPIT-organized exhibitions, the company praised the delegation model for showcasing regional specialties collectively, fostering mutual support among enterprises, and navigating economic challenges. They expressed strong confidence in the SIAL Guangzhou brand.  

Co-hosted by Wuhan CCPIT and the Wuhan Huangpi District Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, the "2024 Wuhan Modern Agriculture and Food Industry Chain Investment Promotion Conference" featured speeches by Shen Bin, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Secretary-General of Wuhan CCPIT; Liu Zewu, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of Guangzhou CCPIT; and Zhu Jianghui, Secretary-General of the Guangdong Imported Food Association. Luo Jien delivered a dedicated presentation on Wuhan’s modern agricultural industry development and park construction, while Cao Wenhui, Co-founder of Beiwei Pure Food Co., Ltd., shared industry insights.  

Secretary-General Shen Bin emphasized that Wuhan CCPIT’s delegation aimed to deepen collaboration between Wuhan and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in agriculture and food sectors, driving shared progress in modern agriculture. As a vital bridge for domestic and international economic exchanges, Wuhan CCPIT will continue leveraging exhibitions to expand market access, trade channels, and partnerships for local enterprises. The event successfully established a high-end international platform for food and beverage businesses to network, explore opportunities, and foster cross-regional growth.  

During the conference, the Wuhan Modern Agricultural Product Processing Park Construction Command Office signed a framework agreement with the Guangdong Imported Food Association, pledging cooperation in resource sharing, business collaboration, and joint promotion. Additionally, Wuhan CCPIT established connections with the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce in Turkey and engaged with delegations from Guangdong, Hunan, Shaanxi, Ningxia, Guizhou, Xining, and Qingyuan, inviting food and beverage enterprises to invest in Wuhan.
