The annual automotive industry flagship event, "2024 China Automotive Chongqing Summit" (CACS2024), co-hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Automotive Committee, the China Chamber of International Commerce Automotive Chamber, and the Chongqing International Auto Exhibition Organizing Committee, was successfully held from June 6th to 8th at the Chongqing Yuelai International Convention Center. Centered on the theme "Shaping the Future of the Industry in an Era of Transformation", the summit delved into critical topics such as new energy transformation, intelligent connected technology, AGI industrialization, emerging investment opportunities, supply chain development, and global expansion through plenary sessions, executive dialogues, thematic seminars, and roundtable discussions. The event aimed to foster consensus and drive collaborative progress for the automotive sector.
Amid the profound evolution of the global automotive industry, challenges in markets, technology, and supply chains remain intense, while new opportunities continue to emerge. As the industry enters the "second half" of the intelligent connected new energy vehicle era, accelerating industrial upgrading, stimulating innovation, boosting consumption, and advancing internationalization have become pivotal. Exploring high-quality development strategies aligned with global trends and regional strengths remains a key mission. To empower Hubei-Wuhan automotive enterprises and their supply chains in expanding domestic and international markets, accelerating product innovation, and enhancing cross-sector collaboration, Wuhan World Trade Exhibition Services Co., Ltd. (WWTES) (under Wuhan Cultural Tourism Group), in partnership with the Wuhan Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Hubei Machinery Industry Federation, organized a delegation comprising over 10 institutions and enterprises, including the Wuhan Academy of Social Sciences, Wuhan University of Technology Suizhou Research Institute, Dongfeng Motor Corporation, M-Hero Automotive Technology Co., Ltd., Chitian Automotive Co., Ltd., Hubei Depu Electric Co., Ltd., Hubei Qixing Auto Body Co., Ltd., Hubei Ruili Automotive Co., Ltd., and Wuhan Chuan Intellectual Property Technology Co., Ltd., to participate in CACS2024. At the summit’s exhibition zone, the Wuhan delegation showcased cutting-edge products and engaged in in-depth exchanges with global industry leaders, achieving fruitful outcomes. On the opening day of the 26th Chongqing International Auto Exhibition, WWTES arranged for the delegation to tour the exhibition and conduct dialogues with participating enterprises.
During the summit, senior representatives from Wuhan World Trade Exhibition Services Co., Ltd. (WWTES) joined the Wuhan delegation in meetings with Mr. Dong Haotian, Counselor for Economic, Technical, New Industry, and Financial Affairs at the Mexican Embassy in China, and Mr. Rommel Juan, Chairman of the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines. They introduced the profile of the Wuhan Motor Show and extended formal invitations for their participation in the 24th Wuhan Motor Show 2024.
