On May 9, 2025, Yu Hong, Party Secretary and President of the Wuhan Council for the Promotion of International Trade (Wuhan CCPIT), met with Mr. Li Jianming, Chairman of Shenzhen Jiuzhou Hengye Convention & Exhibition Media Technology Co., Ltd., and his delegation. The two sides exchanged views on cooperation for the Wuhan Motor Show, empowering new developments in the automotive industry and car culture, and supporting automobile enterprises in forming clusters to expand global markets.
President Yu Hong welcomed Chairman Li Jianming and his delegation, congratulating the company on its successful hosting of the "2025 Jiuzhou Automotive Ecosystem Expo" earlier this year. She noted that Shenzhen, as a pioneer of reform and opening-up, has exemplified the "Shenzhen Speed" through the expo’s rapid growth over the past two decades. She emphasized that the company’s innovative spirit, extensive international market experience, and advanced management philosophy are worthy of emulation. She expressed hope for deeper collaboration, leveraging Wuhan’s central geographical position, transportation networks, industrial strengths, and market advantages to achieve mutual empowerment and joint progress.
Chairman Li Jianming introduced the company and its flagship Jiuzhou Automotive Ecosystem Expo project. He highlighted that following Shenzhen municipal government’s analysis of new opportunities and markets revealed by the 2025 expo, targeted supportive policies were swiftly implemented to strengthen the global expansion of new energy vehicle industry chain clusters. He also expressed expectations for policy support from Wuhan to foster innovative collaboration in automotive industry projects, jointly explore new pathways for exhibition models, and build platforms to expand overseas channels for automotive enterprises.
The Jiuzhou Automotive Ecosystem Expo, launched in 2006 by Shenzhen Jiuzhou Hengye Convention & Exhibition Media Technology Co., Ltd., was held from February 28 to March 3, 2025, at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. As Asia’s first eco-exhibition covering the entire industrial chain of passenger and commercial vehicles, the event centered on "Technology, Fashion, Trade," drawing attention with its 420,000-square-meter exhibition space, 383,000 visitors (including 6,800 overseas buyers), 1,500 exhibited vehicles, and 20,000 innovative products. Over the four-day event, it generated an estimated RMB 2 billion in urban consumption across catering, accommodation, retail, and entertainment, while achieving 1.8 billion views on Tiktok and ranking 11th on national trending lists. These achievements not only underscored the expo’s global influence but also reflected Shenzhen’s dynamism as "China’s Premier New Energy Vehicle Hub."
The meeting was attended by Shen Bin, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Secretary-General of Wuhan CCPIT, along with representatives from the International Exhibition Department and Wuhan World Trade Exhibition Services Co., Ltd.
