On the morning of March 27, the Wuhan-Guangzhou Agricultural and Food Industry Chain Cooperation Exchange Conference and CIFEX (Guangzhou) Wuhan Promotion Event were successfully held at the Wuhan Modern Agricultural Product Processing Park in Huangpi District, Wuhan. Jointly organized by the Wuhan Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the Wuhan Modern Agricultural Product Processing Park Command Center, the Huangpi District Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, Wuhan Mulan Agricultural Investment and Development Co., Ltd., the Guangdong Imported Food Association, and SingEx Exhibitions (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., the event brought together over 40 representatives from enterprises in Wuhan and Guangzhou.  

At the exhibition hall of the Wuhan Modern Agricultural Product Processing Park, Luo Ji’en, General Manager of Wuhan Mulan Agricultural Investment and Development Co., Ltd., introduced the city’s high-standard development of the modern agricultural processing industrial park. A promotional video was screened during the conference, followed by presentations by Hu Yuan, Deputy Director of the Huangpi District Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, Yan Hui, Deputy Director of the Commerce Bureau, and representatives from the park’s command center, who elaborated on investment policies, business environment, and the park’s planning and construction progress. Zhu Jianghui, Secretary-General of the Guangdong Imported Food Association, Liu Qiwei, Marketing Director of SingEx Exhibitions (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., and Liang Xuebin, Co-founder of Beiwei Pure Food Co., Ltd., delivered keynote speeches and shared insights. Attendees, including representatives from Wuhan Lupo Food Co., Ltd., Wuhan Huafengju Ecological Agriculture Development Co., Ltd., Hubei Chunongjia Grain and Oil Industry Co., Ltd., and Wuhan Jinbao Food Co., Ltd., engaged in dynamic discussions on cross-regional collaboration in agriculture and food industries.  

Zhou Bo, Deputy Director of the Huangpi District Government Office, expressed gratitude on behalf of the district government to CCPIT Wuhan, the Commercial Development Center, the Guangdong Imported Food Association, and participating enterprises for their support. He highlighted Huangpi’s role as Wuhan’s agricultural powerhouse, noting that its GDP reached 132.1 billion yuan in 2023, with its county-level economy ranking first in Hubei Province for five consecutive years. Zhou emphasized the district’s commitment to building modern urban agriculture and invited domestic and international business associations and leading enterprises to explore opportunities at the Wuhan Modern Agricultural Product Processing Park, aiming to jointly advance the agricultural and food industries.  

Secretary-General Shen Bin stated that the event aligned with Wuhan’s municipal government’s directive to strengthen cooperation with the Greater Bay Area and accelerate high-quality development. He recalled the successful "Wuhan Food Industry Investment Promotion Event" at the CIFEX in Guangzhou in September 2023, which expanded Wuhan’s agricultural and specialty food products into the South China and Greater Bay Area markets. The strategic cooperation agreement with the Guangdong Imported Food Association, Shen noted, would further drive the transformation and global expansion of Wuhan’s agricultural and food sectors. He underscored the conference’s role in fostering collaboration between Wuhan and Guangzhou enterprises, particularly as Wuhan advances the integrated development of primary, secondary, and tertiary industries. As the city’s flagship modern agricultural processing hub, the park is being developed into a comprehensive platform spanning raw material cultivation, R&D, production, logistics, sales, and supply chain integration. CCPIT Wuhan pledged to leverage its resources and partnerships, including with the Commercial Development Center and the Guangdong Imported Food Association, to attract leading enterprises and institutions in agricultural processing and food industries to the park, thereby contributing to the sector’s high-quality growth.
