On August 22, the 33rd Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) Training Program commenced in Wuhan. Over 50 exhibition industry managers and professionals from Beijing, Sichuan, Guangdong, Hubei, and other regions gathered to engage in comprehensive training, exchange insights, and foster mutual support. This initiative aims to enhance their professional expertise and contribute to the development of a highly skilled, internationalized, and versatile talent pool for China’s exhibition industry.

The program is jointly organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), co-hosted by the CCPIT (China Chamber of International Commerce) Training Center and the Wuhan Sub-Council of CCPIT, and supported by Wuhan World Trade Exhibition Service Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Wuhan Cultural Investment Group.

The opening ceremony featured remarks from IAEE Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Cathy Breden; Ling Fengjie, Director of the CCPIT Training Center; and Sun Yuansong, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of the Wuhan Sub-Council of CCPIT.

IAEE, a nonprofit global trade association dedicated to advancing the exhibitions and events industry, has collaborated with CCPIT since 2003 to deliver professional training programs for Chinese practitioners.

The CEM Training Program stands as the highest-level professional development platform for industry leaders and emerging talents in China’s exhibition sector. Since its introduction in 2003, it has cultivated a multitude of specialized, globally minded professionals, widely recognized as an authoritative benchmark in international exhibition education.

Spanning five days, the 33rd CEM Training Program features lectures by renowned experts from Beijing Huakai International Exhibition Co., Ltd., Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and other leading institutions. Through a systematic curriculum and interactive exchanges with international exhibition management professionals, the program seeks to elevate participants’ competencies. Attendees will leverage their strengths in policy, information, industry, and technology to foster pragmatic, mutually beneficial collaborations.
